What inspired you to write this book?

"When I lost my husband, I was searching for something, anything, that could help me come to terms with my feelings and emotions. The shock and trauma of his sudden death plunged me into a roller coaster of emotions that ranged from gallows humor to deep sadness. At times I felt paralyzed. I made a promise to myself that I was going to turn my misfortune into a mission to help others who felt as overwhelmed as me. Table for One is the fulfillment of that promise."
